Terms of Service

Last updated: July 28, 2026

Welcome to Map AI. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and Map AI ("we", "us", "our") and govern your access to and use of our websites, apps, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, subscribing to a paid plan, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who can use Map AI

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, and at least 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to purchase a subscription. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Your account

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential.
  • Notify us right away at security@map-ai.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Using the Service

You may use Map AI to research places, generate maps, and produce reports for lawful purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any law or regulation, or to infringe anyone's rights;
  • Scrape, mirror, or reverse-engineer the Service, or interfere with its security or integrity;
  • Attempt to use the Service to identify specific individuals, generate targeted harassment, or produce discriminatory content about protected classes;
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as a standalone product without our written permission.

4. Content generated by the AI

Map AI uses artificial intelligence to summarize public sources, plot locations, and estimate figures such as demand, competition, and demographics. AI outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. You are responsible for independently verifying any AI output before relying on it, and Map AI outputs are not professional, legal, financial, real-estate, or investment advice.

Subject to these Terms, you own the search queries you enter ("Input") and, to the extent permitted by law, the outputs generated in response to your Input ("Output"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display Input and Output as needed to operate and improve the Service.

5. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through our payments processor, Stripe. Prices are shown at checkout.
  • By subscribing, you authorize Geospatial Habits (and Stripe) to charge your payment method on each renewal date until you cancel.
  • You can cancel anytime from Settings → Subscription or the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.
  • When you switch plans, we prorate the difference: unused time on your previous plan is credited toward the new one automatically.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods or unused features.

6. Free trial and usage limits

Signed-in free-plan users receive a limited number of premium searches and reports each 30-day period. We may adjust the trial allotment or feature scope at any time.

7. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third parties (including map providers, AI model providers, and payment processors). Your use of those third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Map AI and its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual-property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) will survive.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MAP AI WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUES, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) US$100.

12. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold Map AI harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your Input, your use of Output, or your violation of these Terms.

13. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you (for example, by email or an in-app notice). Continued use after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and Map AI submit to their personal jurisdiction.
